Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later worked as the morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD-TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax response of the police to DUI cases in Charleston caused an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell was a reporter and anchor for a time working in Charleston reporting and co-anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving into Access Hollywood where she is now a correspondent and co-anchor during weekends. As well as her job as the lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and as well for Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes.
